QOTD 3/18- not too late right?

Anyone currently know anybody who's committing a major WR faux pas in their wedding planning?

"No boxed gifts" on the invitation- I actually gasped out loud when I saw that.  Mentioning gifts on an invitation at all is one of my WR pet peeves, but this basically asking for money on an invitation just completely freaked me out.  Same bride also told her bridal showe guests that they had to wear a black dress on the shower invitation.

I have a few besides my FI's cousin booking their wedding the same day as us :-P

One of my coworkers is getting married in a couple months, but the thing is- they're already married and have been lying to most of their friends and family about it. Her "H" is in the navy and I'm not sure why they're doing what they're doing- but I can't fathom why you'd lie to your friends and family about it. She's completely open about her marital status at work though, and she changed her last name.

Also, she constantly talks about her wedding and a couple showers that are coming up for her as if I'm invited to any of it. She asks my opinions about things which I find kinda weird. I'm not upset that I'm not invited since she and I aren't really friends, but it's kinda rude IMHO to talk about stuff like that with someone who isn't invited.

That's crazy!  Sounds like she just wants to have her PPP day (or however these knotties say it)  I'm just annoyed today about the rudeness of people- but I realize that's my own issue.

That's what I'm thinking too, and rudeness always bothers me no matter who it comes from- but it's worse when it comes from your family. It just teaches me what NOT to do, lol.

Melb I think you are surrounded by some crazy brides.

Steph- that woman at work yeah talking about the parties and showers with you seems awful rude.

Since pretty much everyone I know is already married I dont have anyone committing any WR faux pas at all.

My aunt commited a few. She did her own shower invitations... I understand it partly because my Nonna isn't v ery efficient in English, but she could of asked someone to do it for her, and the MOH lives in another province but there isn't any reason why she couldn't do it.

She also added a small card in her wedding invitations asking for cash gifts....
