So I took everyone's advice and got my dress through Recycled Bride. I was able to negotiate the dress down to $200 which included shipping and cleaning. The dress arrived and from what I can tell, looks gorgeous! I'll be trying it on later to make sure it fits (because I have no idea what size I needed). Woo hoo! It all feels so real now!
