Bridal Party Help...

So I haven't asked my bridesmaid yet but I am trying to think of a cute way to ask them each individually when we get closer... I pretty much figured out who my MOH will be along with the 3 other bridesmaids, we have the flower girl and ring bearer. Now this is where I am stuck FI has an older niece and I don't want her to feel like she is left out. She is really shy and quiet and I don't think she would want to stand in front of everyone. She gets really nervous. So my question is how can I include her in the bridal party with making her feel super uncomfortable? TIA

Hmm the only thing I could think of would be asking her to be a junior BM (if she's too old to be a FG).  If she's too shy for that then I'm sure she's too shy to be a reader?  That's tough.

My wedding is at a winery so I bought them each their favorite kind of wine & attached a note to it that says:

"As I prepare for the day
that I'm to be a bride,
    It would mean the word
    to have you sipping
    by my side...
Will you be my bridesmaid/maid of honor?"

Would she be ok and comfortable being a junior brides maid? My daughter who will be 11.5 at my wedding is going to be a jr BM. Your FI's neice can be that and doesnt have to stand up front if she is unformatable but can still walk in with everyone.

that's a good idea... I will have to run it by FI and see what he thinks...

I think at 15 she can be a BM as opposed to a Junior BM. I guess I've always thought of Junior BMs being under 12, but that's just me. Although, my aunt and uncle had my cousin as Best Man at their wedding when he was 9.

If you really want to have her be part of the BP, she wouldn't have to necessarily stand in front of everyone after the BMs walk in if that makes her too uncomfortable. I'd run it by her and see how she feels, she's old enough to determine that for herself.

I agree too with Ssaltzman. She can be a BM also and not just so much the junior bm. :)

I bought buttons for about $2 each at zazzle.com that said "bridesmaid" "junior bridesmaid" etc. and put them in little shopping bags and gave them to my bridal party for Christmas. Everyone really loved them! And I think including your FI neice as a junior bridesmaid or bridesmaid would be nice. If you thought that would be too much maybe she could hand out programs or something at the ceremony?
