We are doing "I loved her first" by Heartland. I know it's a popular one, but it makes me tear up every time.

I don't think I'll be much help- my dad picked "Butterfly Kisses" back when that came out and he's sticking to his guns. I know it's used a lot and some people don't like it, but I'm pretty sure we'll both cry.

I actually asked my father to pick a song. I did this for my first wedding and he took this on as a personal project. I provided him some options which included:

I loved her first - Heartland
My Little Girl - Tim McGraw
My wish - Rascall Flats
Never Alone - I think its Sarah Brightman or someone like that.

In the end he searched for months and since he's a big Carpenter's fan, he selected, "what it takes" or "if you've got what it takes" from the Carpetners. I loved that it was his own selection. . .

Im using "Stealing Cinderella" by Chucks Wicks. Although I do love the song "I loved her first" by heartland and my mom is disappointed that im not using "Butterfly Kisses"

Me and my dad are doing a surprise dance. We're going to start off with insperable by natalie cole and nate king cole and then bust out with different hip hop/pop songs..like yea by usher..doing the butt..cant remember group name..totsie roll..and a couple other songs.

When I was a little girl, I loved roller and ice skating with my dad. He would grab my hand and whirl me around the rink. I have such great memories of that. Each time, he would request Gonna Make You Sweat. You know that catchy tune from the 90's. Let the music take control, let the rhythm move you, everybody dance now! Soo...we are starting with a slow dance to God Only Knows by the Beach Boys and cutting to Gonna Make You Sweat with some crazy moves, then back to God Only Knows. I know it's been done many times, but it's the personalities of my dad and I and I think our guests will like it.

Dad and I are doing a surprise dance as well.. it is totally us and actually everyone thinks FI and I will be doing one, but they will be surprised. My dad and I will dance to Butterfly kisses or I loved her first then bust into Everybody by Backstreet boys..

My dad and I danced to Butterfly Kisses at my Bat Mitzvah...  So It's going to be My Girl for the Wedding...  My dad used to sing it to me all the time when I was growing up.  He actually still occassionally sings it to me now and I'm 26

We're using "I loved her first" by Heartland, mostly because "Butterfly kisses" is the only song that's ever made me cry.  And I'd rather not cry if I can help it.

Daughters by John Mayer. I think wedding planning hs made me more sappy, but I get all kinds of emotional when I hear it. I think I need to play it over and over until Im numb to it.
