10 1/2 months out..

Hi girls!

So 10 1/2 months out - what is everyone focused on? Below is everything I have done - what's next? Wondering what the next steps are... Also, when do we start planning/writing out our ceremony?

So far the DJ, florist, venue, officiant, photographer, videographer and cake booked. Dress is also done. 

What do I need to do next? Save the dates going out end of the month (it's a destination wedding).

</div><div>Our officiant is a celebrant and she wants us to fill out these huge questionnaires by November so that she can use those to write our ceremony.  I don't know how other officiants work.</div><div>

Next payment to make is the DJ's deposit.
And next big check to make is to order my dress. Scared out of my mind to order it....

I still need my florist, cake, quotes in ac rentals, finalize the guest list an I think that's it. Other than std, invites, bridesmaid dresses, favors and gifts lol.

The only things left for us to do is to apply for our passports and purchase our airfare... Other than that we just have to pay off the resort and relax!!!

Hopefully settling on a photographer tomorrow...we are flying to California form the East Coast, I.E lots of time FI is trapped with me, my laptop and my wedding excel spreadsheets!!!  We are booke don venue, I have my dress, and I'm 95% sure we have our officiant.  I've started working on hotels this past week.  I'm hoping to figure out invites/STDs soon as well.

Um...I feel like we're behind right now but not for long.

So far we have the venue booked for the ceremony and reception, the officiant booked (he was my old pastor), the dj is booked but due to my mom doing it there's no down payment or contract which kind of worries me (but he came through last time we used him for a party so I'm trusting her), our engagement pics are scheduled, the cake tasting is scheduled, and my dress is arriving by UPS today.

We're putting the deposit down for the photographer when we do our engagement pics on the 23rd, and we're putting the deposit down for the cake on the 17th.  We found our cake toppers last night and I'm ordering them next week.  We'll register next month before school starts back.  We've pretty much decided on STDs and invites already.  And I'm still collecting/saving wine bottles for centerpieces.

Done: bridesmaid dresses, my dress (ordered & tried on), church booked, reception hall booked & deposit paid, photographer booked & deposit paid, engagment photos, sent STDs, florist booked & deposit paid (flowers chosen), cake baker booked & deposit paid, wedding shoes bought, hair & make up booked & deposit paid, DJ booked & deposit paid

Need to Do: book & pay deposit for limo, book & pay deposit for table decor, find vases for centerpieces, create a guestbook, buy FI wedding band, choose invitations & order, veil & accessories need to purchased, register, rent tuxes, hair & makeup trials, wedding party gifts & choose music for reception

I'm feeling pretty good with what we have done and what needs to be done at this point

I was feeling very behind until this week.  We put our deposit down on our venue and caterer on Saturday, booked our DJ, found our Officiant.  We have our cake baker (will be setting up an appointment for cake tasting soon, yum).  Invitations are chosen, just need to order. BM dresses are chosen, just need to get measurements and order (scheduled to do next month) We have an appointment for August 4th for tuxes.  The big one is my Dress.  I will be going with my mom and sister (MOH) next month unless I can find some time this month to go.

Ha, I was just talking to FI about this..and I knew I was behind! lol

Done: venue (catering included), photographer, officient, ceremony wording/planning

Soon to be done: ceremony site (need to put down deposit), DJ (making our short list), ceremony musician (if not our DJ), dress (by end of summer latest), STD (essentially designed, needs to be printed and sent)

Not even close: cake, invites, BM dress, tuxes, florist (thought I finished that but I may need a second opinion), MUA/hair, decor/centerpieces

So far I've only got the venue, photographer, and caterer booked. I have a possible officiant, and I'm going to try on wedding dresses for the first time on Friday. Now I feel really behind...

Completed: Both ceremony and reception venues, DJ, Photographer, e-pics scheduled for July 29th, Officiant, My Dress, Bridesmaid dresses picked (just need to get the girls measured and ordered-Sept), & Tuxes picked out (just need to get the guys measured).

In Progress: Our officiant has a ton of ceremony's that we can go through and make our own. I've been doing that here and there. I've also been working on the day of timeline. That has been such a pain, but it's nice to know when everything will be happening.

Up next: Make up and Hair (July), Florist (I have 2 appts set up in July), finalize the baker (probably August), picking out our STD's (August), and picking out the invitations (August, we may make them or just order them).

I have my guest list done. My wedding party has been asked. I have my dj and photographer. I possibly have an officiant. I have my veil. I do not have a venue, or my dress. I also have someone making my cake.
