question on save the date wording

I realize this should probably go on the invites board, but I'd rather ask a smaller audience.

We just got our engagement pictures back and are working on designing our save the dates.  My question is, should his name go first, or mine?  By first name, alphabetically, his name goes first.  But by last name, my name goes first.  He thinks it rolls off the tongue better as "Brett and Bridget" as opposed to "Bridget and Brett". 

Also, on the date, I went with the format of 5.26.13.   He wanted it "fanicer" by putting May 26th, 2013.  As a person who writes press releases for a living, the "th" is driving me crazy.  Is there a proper format for the date?

The bride's name should go first. 

For STDs you can use either date, it's more casual than the actual invitation.

I agree it does roll off the tongue better with his name first.  How about a compromise on the date and put May 26, 2013.  That way it is spelled out, but you can leave out the th that bothers you

I know you usually put the bride's name first. Since the STD is more casual, it doesn't matter how you write the date.

Thanks for the input.  One more question.  We have room on the back of the save the date to include other information.  Is it ok to list our hotel room blocks now, since it's for a holiday weekend?  Or should we just direct people to our website, which also has the information?

</div><div>We're not doing a wedding website and since 90% or more of our guests will be OOT, I included the hotel room block info on our save the dates.  I actually found some that we set up for this- they are three cards tied together with a ribbon.  The first is the save the date, the second is the accommodations, and the third we just used for things to do in the area.</div><div>
