has anyone xcome across a bride who basically was competing with them?

I did today. she would ask me questions about my wedding and after every responce I gave her she would yell, "ha! i beat you!" Seriously? Not a competition.

WTH? What is wrong with people.

I would add her to the do not talk to about the wedding list. Geez, it's sad but people like that make me not want to talk about the wedding.

essh I can't stand that ... luckily I havent come across that but I've met people who like to be in competition like that an it irks me

I have an engagement ring that definitely doesn't look like one. People do not believe me when I say I'm engaged sometimes (mostly the young men). Facebook has looks of adverts for me that are geared toward wedding planning. I miss the old interesting adverts.

My best friend and I got engaged 4 days apart and while we are not competing, a lot of people are trying to compare our weddings.  The one thing people have been mentioning a lot is the fact that, after we set our date, they set a date just two weeks before us.  I think we will both have lovely weddings anyway.
