We chose May because it's not too cold and not too hot. We immediately ruled out MDW. My BFF (who I knew I would ask to be in the wedding) thought her cousin was getting married on the 18th so I didn't want her to have to miss one or the other. My dad's birthday is the 11th and I don't like him very much so I didn't want to get married on his birthday. That left May 4th and here we are

Currently: grey, black, and white. This might change to include purple on Saturday when I go BM dress shopping. 

Favorite thing about planning: 

My wedding dress, my makeup trial was really fun, engagement pictures

Spending all the money!

Other than actually becoming married to FI, the first-look. I really can't wait for it.

I guess rain. I really want the ceremony to be outside.

Reason you chose that date: May just seems like the perfect month. I didn't want it to be too close to my sisters birthday (the 8th), or too late in the month. So the 18th it was!

Favorite thing about planning: Dress shopping and HM planning. And all the excitement

 Least favorite thing about planning: The guest list and people not liking some more contemporary things we are (or aren't) doing.

Reason you chose that date: we wanted spring, and it worked with everyone's schedules...also cheaper flights and less crowded than summer for honeymoon............... Wedding location: Newark, DE............... Wedding colors: shades of purple with grey accents. May be adding black......... Favorite thing about planning: seeing ideas come together, seeing how well FI and I are able to work together to plan a wedding that reflects us as a couple, seeing the way FI has stood up to his family about certain aspects of the planning........... Reason you chose that date: I grew up near the Jersey Shore and MDW was my favorite weekend to start off summer and the shore. Unfortunately, now I don't think it will be the same for awhile.

Favorite thing about planning:  budgeting, organzing, keeping time schedules, researching inspiration. Loved venue shopping, gown shopping, shoe shopping and engagement photos

Reason you chose that date: We originally wanted Sept, but my mom didn't want to be 80 when we got married, so we moved it up to May, so she'll only be 79.  Also, we were going to do Labor Day, but my dad passed away on Labor Day, so my mom was also concerned about that having a negative connotation.

Wedding location: Ceremony: Edina, MN (Centennial Lakes) Reception: Medina, MN (Medina Ballroom)

Wedding colors: Lots of them.  Bridesmaids are in watermelon, regency, persimmon, glacier, canary, and cornflower

Favorite thing about planning: Organizing everything.  I've been waiting my whole life for this.

Least favorite thing about planning: Budget

Something you're most looking forward to: Actually being married so we can start working on having a family.

Biggest wedding day fear: Rain.  Or, someone not being able to come (ie: FI's sister, nephew, brother or sister-in-law - all live out of state, most are in the wedding, but finding affordable airfare has been tricky)
