Hair help

I am getting married in August in Texas. I want to wear my hair down. Problem is its so hot in Texas and my dress is made of heavy fabric.  ( I know, not so smart.) I'm also going to have a elbow lenght vew with a flower halo in my hair. So I'm not really sure what to do about it. Any help would be awesome.

    I'm doing down for the ceremony up for the outdoor reception, but I'm spoiled b/c my cousin is doing my hair so she'll be there to pin it up real quick.  Do you have a friend/family member that's good with hair?  Do some trail runs a week or two before so you can see how you'll feel the day of.
