I need some idea of how much others are paying for hair. I am having a destination wedding and have a friend who is going to be coming to the wedding who is a hair dresser (she is not my normal hair dresser). I asked her about doing my hair, but had a heart attack when she told me it would be $300! That would include a trial, make-up and wedding day hair. I told her I wanted to do my own make-up, but she didn't really seem very open to taking that part off. I only pay $90 for cut and color on a regular basis and to just have someone do my hair that just seems rediculous to me. I obviously want to be happy with it, and if that's the going rate I guess I'll pay it reluctantly. Then I worry, if I choose someone else who is less expensive, am I going to piss off a friend?
