Two hair/makeup trials - am I annoying???

I had my hair and makeup trial last weekend, and it was alright, but it didn't match my vision. I'm thinking about going back for a second hair and makeup trial, with the same people (I definitely want to use this hair/makeup artist, so I'm not considering a trial with anyone else...)  but I'm afraid that they will think I'm nuts and that I don't know what I want! Do you think it will annoy them if I book a second trial? Has this happened to anyone else?

I don't think that's unreasonable. I think if you tell your stylist exactly what you said here - that you think she's professional and you really want to stick with her, but the first hairstyle didn't quite match what you had in mind - then I think noone will think you're nuts. or even undecicive. rather the opposite. maybe you can find a picture of the kind of a hairstyle you would like and bring it to your stylist so that they can visualise it better.

besides not being annoying....what business is going to turn away money really? There is nothing wrong with making sure you are getting what you want. I highly doubt you are the first bride who wanted a second trial. I would guess the number of girls who are too afraid or too poor to ask for a second trial and then behave like a bridezilla or just hate thier hair, far outway the number who actually ask for what they want. I am sure the girl will apprecuate knowing exactly what you want before the big day instead of dealing with a cranky bride.

Thanks ladies! I think I just needed reassurance that the hairstylist/makeup artist wouldn't think I was crazy. But my FI brings up a good point...he says, they have probably dealt with people who are WAY more indecisive than you! And he says i worry too much what other people think, when it's my wedding! I think I'll book a second trial, it will be worth the money to have peace of mind....and like you said redhead, who would turn away the money?!

I had 2 full trials of hair and makeup and a third of just makeup.  So you're not alone!

Thanks!  My first trial was with a different MUA and I hated it so I had to start over.  Then I decided I wanted to try a smokey eye so I went back for that.  My MUA was very patient!  :)

I've done 4-5 trials thus far for hair, 2 for makeup, and we're still not there... admittedly this is starting to cost a fortune, but I'm not happy with what's been done and you gotta feel like you look beautiful on your wedding day.  I'm going to try a couple more trials, but at this point I like it better when I do it myself then any of the trials so far. And the trials are really adding up cost-wise...
