hair style for the dress

So I realize it's all about personal preference, but what do you ladies feel is a better hair style for a strapless dress and why?

I have a strapless dress and plan to wear my hair down and soft waves.  I love wearing my hair down, it just makes me feel prettier versus up in an updo and I think you should be most  comfortable on your big day.

I think it depends on how you normally do your hair. If its down every day, don't do and updo and if its up every day, don't wear it down. It would be out of character.

Either way, I think that having the front part of the hair (if its shoulders or longer) up looks best because it shows off your neck and decollete. Even if the rest of the hair is down or up, I think showing off your neck is usually slimming and elegantly sexy
