Cake inspiration! We're going to design ours on Saturday!

we're doing cupcakes, so i don't know how much help i'll be   we have 4 different flavor cupcakes with different types of frosting, but no fancy decorations or anything, just piped frosting.










i don't know if you can tell, but we're using log slices as cake stands  :-P
we're also having one little cake (8") for us to cut   and keeping the decorations at a minimum

Haven't decided on color of stripes yet...they will either be this pink OR navy OR navy and burlap/tan mix. Plus, we have a topper ( don't have a pic of that- but it's a guy and girl on a bicycle and the girl is on the handle bars!)

We're doing rustic romantic.  Ordering our cake from a local grocery store (50-70% LESS than what 3 other "cake bakeries" quoted us and just as tasty).  My sister and I are making the fondant "bark" to wrap around each layer.  And we're not doing the flowers on it.

We're also having a rustic wedding and using tree slices as our cake stand. The topper will also be similar (minus the flag) except it will look like us and our dog will be with us, not seperate. We're also adding trail signs with distances to where we met, our hometown and our honeymoon location!

My cousin is doing mine, and this is the picture she sent me that is her inspiration. It is going to be this except 6 or 7 tiers (large wedding), edible pearls on the bottom, and one of the tiers has our monogram

Ours will be 4 square tiers.
Similar to this, but the ribbon will be light blue and lavender and the flowers will be blue hydrangea and lavender roses. The tiers will also be aligned and not staggered like in the pic:
