GM stress

One of the GM might not be able to make it because of military stuff (he's not being deployed or anything, he just isn't sure if will be able to leave base). I completely understand if he can't make it...it's just the NOT KNOWING that's driving me nuts. The deadline to get measured for tuxes is May 5th and he hasn't done it yet. FI has tried to call him a couple of times to ask him to get measured just in case he is able to make it. I don't know what happens if he doesn't get measured by the deadline and then he is able to make it. I need to call Men's Wearhouse and find out to ease my mind a little bit. 

I will be bummed if he can't make if for FI's sake because he's one of his oldest friends. I haven't met him and I was really looking forward to it. 

Like I said, I just need a yes or no answer and I don't know when we are going to get an answer.

Sigh. That's all.

Awe, I'm sorry! One of FI's GM was going back and forth about coming (he couldn't afford ticket and we offered to pay) he of course wanted to be there, but he was too proud about accepting our money. Luckily in the end he accepted it and is coming

I hope he is able to make it as well Firsthand, the military stuff can stink sometimes, but try not to be too stressed. I'm sure he really wants to be with you guys on your big day, but the military doesn't always make that easy. I'm sure he wouldn't want you to be stressed over it.... all that being said, I totally understand that it's driving you nuts

If he can't make it to get measured, would you be opposed to him wearing his uniform? Perhaps that's why he hasn't gotten measured. For some people in the military, it's a matter of pride in their service and they wouldn't ever want to rent a suit when they have earned the right to wear their uniform instead, if that makes sense. Perhaps you could offer that to him if you aren't vehemently opposed to it? JIC you're worried about it, uniforms always look classy in a WP, even if they don't "match" everyone else. Obviously, it's up to you (it's your wedding after all!) but I think that would be nice. One of my FI's dear friends is also mil and was going to be a part of the WP and would have worn his uniform as well... but unfortunately he will be deployed.

Yes the military stinks sometimes. My FI is in the military. Our wedding is at the end of the month and his cheif still hasn't approved his leave. He's not worried about it, but I know its kinda stressful. Look on the bright side you know the most important man will be!

Oooh I hadn't thought about the possibility of him wearing his uniform..that would be great! They look so handsome in their uniforms. I definitely wouldn't worry about it "not matching"
