Ok, so FI has a best (female) friend from FOREVER. They went through every grade together. We have gone to EVERYTHING she has ever invited us to or party that has been held in her honor. She's been engaged 2x (two dif guys) since FI and I have been together and we had supported her through both engagements. Well about a year ago, things started to get weird. She got engaged one day and then got married a month later without mentioning anything to FI (although the other mutual friends were at their courthouse nuptuals...),she and her husband didn't show up to our e-party, they invited us to dinner at a restaurant and didn't show up (when FI texted "where are you guys?" we got a text back saying they were at another place having dinner with her brother!!!) Now I know that might be enough to get "a hint" BUT FI emailed her saying he was really disappointed in her behavior, consistently flaking out on us when we go out of our way for her, etc. etc. it was a spat but supposedly it was worked out.
Today we got their RSVP:
"WILL NOT ATTEND" with the message "God Bless You Both."

SO FURIOUS! FI was upset when I broke the news...so he texted "so what plans do you have on May 19th that you can't come to my wedding?"
NOTHING. NO RESPONSE.
So he wrote back "well I guess whatever it is you are willing to throw away decades of friendship over it. God Bless You."
I can't believe someone would be this shitty. She, by the way, is a Life Coach - who makes a living telling other people how to be "better people."
I just can't wrap my head around it. SMH.
