Anyone else freaking out?

Arrg - my post just got eaten! (I finally know what y'all all are talking about)

Anyway, with the wedding under 2 months away I'm starting to freak out and get anxious. I'm worried people won't have fun, but I'm also anxious that I won't or that I 'll be too concerned with what's goin on or that things are going as they're supposed to. Oftentimes when there is a super-planned event with so much buildup I'm let down because I put too much pressure on it and then get in a funky mood and can't relax. I really hope that doesn't happen. I'm now wishing I listened to my FI and just eloped. Anyone else feel like this? Any tips on how to just chill and enjoy it?

Re: Anyone else freaking out?

  • i've been going through phases where i get super stressed and freak out and cry and i'm afraid no one's going to have a good time and i have nightmares that no one shows up.  then i go through phases where i think we're going to have the best wedding EVAR and everyone will be like, "wow, their wedding is way more awesome than ours"  haha

i go back and forth, and luckily my FI has been super supportive.  i think my stressed out phases are coming more often the closer it gets though.  and part of it has to do with the distance.. i'm in NC and our wedding is in CO, plus i'm trying to get my house ready to rent and planning a move to CO for two weeks before the wedding.... it's kind of a lot :-/

but yeah.... i feel ya...  and from what i can tell it's completely normal.

I get like that too.  I feel that something big is going to screw up.  I worry that its going to be a giant cheese fest although I think I have eliminated as much cheesiness as I can.  I worry about the bar since we are DIYing that, what if someone wants something like a mojito, we can't possibly plan for every single concoction.  I worry about looking fat in my pictures and never wanting to display them.  I worry about the most stupid crap ever...like my napkins that are a shade or 2 off from the BM dresses. I too have nightmares.

But then I think about the end result.  I absolutely cannot wait to marry my guy.  And at the end of the day, married is what we will be so everything else will be a bonus.

Omg, I say this ALL the time. I'm so over this whole wedding planning thing. I'm looking forward to the day after!
I go through my excited phases, my fearful phases, my good dreams and nightmares. I randomly burst into tears, both happy and sad tears. I think the freak out is normal as the day gets closer. My goal is to get the craziness out of my system now b/c the day of, I officially do NOT care what happens to anything, as long as we end up married. The wedding cake could topple over onto my dress and I will not get upset... hopefully that doesn't happen though...

I was feeling like this. But honestly the closer it gets the more relaxed I get. Now once May hits it could be a different story.
  • The closer it gets the more anxious I get over little things.  Like the bridal store that has been telling for the past month my sister's dress will be here this week.  Hmmm Still waiting for it!  It seems to be more frustration right now over people not returning my calls/emails and answering ?s in what I consider a timely manner (1 day!).  I keep saying I'm just ready for it to be here, but I know the minute we touch down in CA I'm going to instantly eat those words!

    Time of our lives Anniversary
  • Thanks ladies. It feels good to know I'm not alone. Let's all take deep breaths and just hope for the best. :)
