Ok this starts out excited but ends kinda discourged.

yesterday Fi and me went out shopping and went to Michaels and they have 40% off spring floral...and right there in the doorway is the wedding colors lol

1.79 a bunch after discount...we couldnt resist...so we grabbed 10 teal and 10 purple(2 different shades though) for out centerpieces...very excited and love them

here's each color...mind you..we plan on still adding moss to the wood base to kinda fill in the open space so its not so obvious

so here's where it gets bummer....my MOH doesnt like the beer bottle...and either does my mom....grrr....we have been so excited about them...and now bad feedback...so honest opinions please....with the moss do you think it would tie in better??   FI Loves the beer bottles...its so us    sigh...

Options...different size mason jar to split it up?
different gravel inside mason jars(purple/teal)?

I say if the beer bottles are you (and FI) then you should stick to your guns. I think it looks great!

I say meh on the beer bottles.. BUT if thats what ya'll want then go for it! Other then that I think they are adorable!

I'm not crazy about the beer bottles but from a design point. I love that it's very you and FI. But I don't think it matches with the rest of the things. I think it's mostly the color that throws me off.

What about using wine bottles instead?  I think they'll fit a little better with the theme.  You off to a great start, though!  I love the colors.

I like the overall look of the centerpiece (love the colors!), but I can understand the hesitation with the beer bottle.

What if you wrapped the beer bottle with something? Maybe a burlap band, a little lace, a raffia bow? Just a little something to make it look like a little more decorative.

I like the picture that bpphoto posted. I think the beer bottles wrapped in yarn is ADORABLE! They look much cuter than a "plain" beer bottle but still allow you & your FI to incorporate something that fits you two so well! My vote is for wrapped beer bottles

I like this idea, plus it adds a bit more color. Also, what if you varied the sizes of the jars? By doing this, it will visually look more interesting. Make one jar either taller or shorter.

Thanks for all the opinions and ideas...we are still doing the beer bottles..FI wont budge and it is so us...but we are going to try a 2nd size mason jar and might work with wraping some twine around the neck of bottle to tie in better to mason jars...he didnt like the yarn idea at all...but is willing to work with twine lol
