Back in the fall when we set a date, we booked a private room in the upstairs of a restaurant for our rehersal dinner. We've already paid a deposit. All winter I did not hear from the coordinator, so I emailed her maybe two weeks ago so we could set a dinner time and see the menu. Well, I didn't hear from her and thought maybe she was on vacation. Not a bid deal. So, the other day I get an email from the NEW coordinator saying she wanted to touch base with me, etc. Well in her email she stated that we would be on the harbor porch, downstairs of the restaurant. So, I sent an email back saying that we were supposed to be in a private room and if we were on this porch, this would no longer be a private party.
So, I get an email back from her just now saying that the upstairs doesn't open for the season until the following weekend!!!!! I can't decide if I should be annoyed or angry or not. I feel we were mislead, and that is upsetting. I'm not sure if we would have found another place or not, had we been told this when we booked the space. Don't get me wrong, the harbor porch is a lovely spot, and we have eaten on it a few times. I don't know if this even matters. Their food is amazing (best clam chowda!), but that's not the point. We were told one thing and now we're being told something else.
Actually, I am angry over this. And btw, both venues have had new coordinators. The other one wasn't a big deal.
