shower thank you notes question

My bridal shower was this past saturday! I read a section on theknot that says regardless who is at the shower (just the bride or bride and groom) both names should be signed on the thank you notes. what is everyones opinion on that? I think that I am going to sign both names beause it is not like the gifts are only for me.

Hmm, I've never thought of that, and I've never gotten a card signed from both. I just signed it with my name, but I see the logic in putting both.

i'd say about for  half  of the shower gifts the card was written to both of us....aah i just spent the last half hour looking this up and got mixed answers. idk what to do!

I don't think that there is a right answer to this question. No one is giong to say "Oh no! She did (or didn't) include her FI's name! So, I say do w/e you want :-)

I think most of the bridal shower thank you's I've received is from the bride. I guess this makes sense since the party is meant to shower the bride with gifts. I think whether you sign it or you and FI sign it, it's fine. But both of you should sign the thank you for wedding gifts.

I would put just your name unless both of your names appear on the card, which is not typical.

I'm going to sign them from both, since the gifts are for both of us (just not me!)

I'm going to sign them from both. I did the same thing for my baby shower. Since, like AurorasEnvy said, the gifts are for both of us!
