Update time.

Where to start? Well, I did have my third fitting of my dress last week. For some reason, I don't understand why they just cannot get the hem line correct on this dress. It seems that they didn't really adjust it because it was still about an inch and a half off the floor in the front. However, the seamstress did have one saving grace when she realized that both my MOH and I were upset that the hemline seemed to be around the same place when I left from my second fitting. The seamstress asked if I planned to wear the shoes all night. Since they are 4" heels, I know that I wouldn't be able to stand them for more than a couple of hours. She then pointed out that if I planned on wearing flats through the reception that if they lowered the hemline to touch the floor while wearing the 4" heels, that means that when I switch to the flats that I run a high risk of stepping on my dress and having to keep hiking up the dress all night. Touche, seamstress. I did have to give it some thought. And after some consideration, I decided to leave the hemline where they adjusted it.

So the next step was for me to hunt for some flats. Of course, since my dress is of lace I wanted to find some lace flats. Having such a hard time finding the heels with lace, I felt a bit discouraged that I'd find some flats with lace. Thanks to you lovely ladies raving about etsy.com, I searched there. Found an array of lace flats and ordered a pair that night! They should be arriving Monday. I can't wait!

Next update, since the invites went out last week, I've gotten 3 rsvps so far. Exciting, but discouraging as when I noticed two of those rsvps had extra number of guests than the way that I addressed them. One of them, I knew it was a possibility that they'd be bringing their 2 sons. Since I know their names and they're older than 5 years old, I'm not too worried about it. Like I said, I had a feeling they'd be coming even though I didn't put her boys' names on the invite. However, the other one is from my FI's list. We invited the couple but got a '3' for number of guests. So, we don't know this third guest. My FI assumes it's the husband's daughter. Now, we have to ask them the name of this third person so we don't have a card at the table that just reads: "Mr. and Mrs. Smith's Guest". (I used a generic last name here).

Next update, Tuesday, March 20th I'm going to be having a 'dress rehearsal' at the venue site with the vendor that will be providing the accent linen. Can't wait to see how it'll look. Going to order centerpiece stuff and maybe find some at Michael's or something to fully set up and see what it'll look like by then. Excited about that. Smile
