Oh my goodness.. okay, my dad's aunt is a bit of a different lady. I havne't seen her a whole lot, and once, she even actually came into where I worked in highschool and I had no idea who she was. Anyways, at my dad's funeral she so graciously invited herself to my wedding. "I'll be looking for that invitiation in the mail" now some days I wish I could be more of a jerk and be like "Acutally yo uweren't going to be invited", but instead (and I know this sounds awful) my mom was like well what harm does it do and at least you'll get a good present out of her. So fine, I send out the invites and send one to her. And then I thought waht the hell, if you're going to invite yourself to my wedding, you can come to the shower too. There was a mistake, the woman gave me USED baking sheets! Complete with grease stains and all.. they're fabulous! Anyway, I finally get her RSVP in the mail today... she RSVP's for 2.. uhm excuse me? WHO THE HELL ARE YOU BRINGING!? So i call my mom.. "who could she possibly be brining?" she figures probably one of my dad's cousins.. one of her kids... funny thing is.. my dad can't STAND her kids, never could, had nothing to do with them thought they were annoying as all get out (they are)
So whatever... not a big deal we've had enough no's that it's not a huge deal.. but still! It would NEVER in a million years occur to me to bring someone that wasn't invited to something without first checking with the bride/groom. my freaking phone number is on the reply cards! Gratned she's like 80 i think...but there's enough people she could have hitched a ride.. or taken the bus.. or wahtever (she has lots of money...). Gar!
Annnd! I'm sure my dad is laughing at me RIGHT now, and will be laughing even harder on my wedding day if his "favourite" cousin shows up. (for those of you who don't know, my dad passed away in December)
I swear if I get more used $hit for my wedding i will SO not be impressed!
Anyway /end rant! Thanks for listening ladies.
