HELP?! I need someone to videotape our wedding -- BUT WHO?

So we didn't have the budget to hire a videographer, but now it's like 2 weeks from the wedding and we would really like for someone to tape our wedding ceremony. We have a new videocamera (it was an Xmas gift from my parents for our honeymoon) that someone can use but besides that, I'm not sure who to ask or where they could set up. I also have a tripod I think someone could use wtih the new camcorder.

Any ideas on who to ask? OR where they could set up? here is a wide view of our ceremony location:

p.s. I was thinking about asking one of our ushers to do it (or an uncle?)

ugh, I'm in the exact same condumdrum.  I want it taped, but I feel bad asking someone...

Is there anyone who normally takes lots of photos/video at other family functions?  I'm sure whoever the person is would be delighted to help out.  If you don't mind the camera staying stationary (i.e. focused on one spot and never moving), it would be a pretty easy job.  He would just have to press play at the beginning of the ceremony and shut it off at the end.

I posted on the classifieds for a few local colleges.. turns out, lots of college kids are looking to "build a portfolio" and think a tiny budget is a LOT of money. So it may not be the same quality, but it's something!

If not, above advice is good

I'm totally ok with it not moving (that's what I was thinking with my tripod). We don't really have a "sutterbug" in our family...so I think i'm going to ask my 21 yr. old cousin (and usher) if he thinks he could manage this task

I'm in the same spot. I like the idea of posting something at the local college though! We may do that!
