Got our first wedding present!!

Ok so this may sound strange but I didn't have a shower and people in our area tend to just bring gifts to the wedding and probably won't purchase anything until the week of. yes I know ... our circle of friends are slackers. Anyway...

But we got our first gift today.... from MY BOSS! LOL

He gave us a nice gift card for BBB. I couldn't believe it!

We got 2 giftcards from 2 couples who can't come... and my favourite - a homemade, handstitched quilt made by my grandma (quilting is kind of a family thing... it's the "traditional' wedding gift for a grandma to give starting from the previous generation where my great grandma gave each of her 27 grandchildren a childhood quilt and a marriage quilt). I was SO excited that this tradition is going down the next generation (it's going to stop, because my mom doesn't quilt :P)... but it's ok, because I got a quilt!

Oh I understand the quilt thing! My grandmother used to quilt and hasn't been able to for years because of her hands, but I have an OLD one that my mom used for me when I was a baby. I keep that thing packed up! It's starting to fall apart!
