PW: Rehearsal Question

Sorry to barrage the board with posts today!

If you had one, what time was your rehearsal the night before your wedding?

I just got off the phone with the church, and apparently we get to pick whatever time we want.  We are planning to have a rehearsal dinner afterwards, followed by a dessert/wine reception for all of our OOT guests.  I don't want to be up too late that night!

Mmm, I think our rehearsal was at 5 or 5:30. (It was senior night  for my pastor's daughter, so we did it early for him). Then our RD site was about 5 minutes from the church, so dinner was immediately following, about 6:30.

FYI: I think we told everyone 5, but it was really 5:30. That way we started on time :-) Is that mean of me?

We did our rehearsal at 4:30, then I think we scheduled dinner for 6:00. It was about a 20-25 minute drive from rehearsal to dinner.  I don't think we were out very late - maybe til about 10 or 10:30.

Our rehearsal was at 6.  We told DHs side that it was supposed to start at 5:30.  DHs family did not get there until almost 7.  Not happy about that since everybody else was there for it to start on time.  Dinner was at 7:30.  Needless to say, we were very late for dinner which caused problems.  Dinner ran late and we were in Station Square trying to get out before the end of the last Stanley Cup game.  I do not have fond memories of that night.

Our rehearsal started at 630, dinner was at 730 (full catholic rehearsal, so took 1 hour).  There was no driving to dinner as we had it catered in attached reception hall (It was Jan 1, and most area restaurants were closed that had ample space to accomodate the 40 of us).  We told DH's side rehearsal was at 6.  Everyone was then punctual except for a bridesmaid.  I was home by 11, and asleep by 12.

Our rehearsal is at 6pm.  I will most definitely tell DF's family that it is at 5pm so that they *maybe* make it by 6pm!

We'll have dinner at 7:30pm.  Wrap up probably around 10?

Jrsy- I'm impressed you got a good night's sleep!  I have a feeling I'll be too excited/anxious to sleep.

    Rehearsal was at 5:30 pm.
We forgot about rush hour traffic that day and almost all of us were late, except the priest.

Dinner was at 7 pm and done by 9 pm.

Late here, but our rehearsal was at 6:30, and dinner was right after (don't remember what time we got to the restaurant... we were running late). Since you want to have a dessert reception afterwards, I'd say definitely start earlier than I did- maybe 5? It depends on the distance bet. your rehearsal and RD though, as well as what time you want to go to bed by.

I am not one to ask. Rehearsal about 5, dinner around 7. Some people were pretty late, but I rolled on without them until they got there.

    Early bed time=super fail

My RD was over by 9, then we did a beer run, then we swam in our underwear in the hotel pool, and then my FI wanted to stay up half the night hanging out and talking. I think he had cold feet. Bedtime was actually 2am, 8am wakeup call. But I was totally fine and not sleepy!
