Not having a shower?

Anyone else not having one?

99% of my guests live out of town. I have a few friends but not a big group. A friend of mine is planning a bachelorette party but as far as I know there are ZERO shower plans. And no, I don't think there are any surprises in the making.

We're not! We live 1400 miles from our friends & family and just can't afford to make a trip for a shower or get into town early enough for one before the wedding. 

We set up registries, but really aren't expecting lots of gifts- But it has made the few gifts we have gotten especially exciting

No shower for me! Everyone is out of town as well. I don't mind though.

I'm not either.  FI and I are living in Europe now and showers are not done here at all. Most of my BMs (I have 6!) live in the US, but they are scattered all around and it was just not working out to coordinate that.

We registered anyway since I know a lot of people (including me!) don't like to give money and would prefer to give a gift.

I don't mind either. I felt weird about it anyway - I mean I know it's tradition and all, but having all that attention and the gift expectation just made me uncomfortable.

we're not really having a wedding shower, but some friends of ours (coworkers of mine) are throwing a going away party for us since i'm moving to colorado right before the wedding.  our whole department is invited to the bbq and they weren't all invited to the wedding, so our friends want to make it more of a "going away/wedding celebration" type party.  it should be a ton of fun, but we're not expecting gifts or anything.

No shower for me either.  We did the bachelor(ette) party in Vegas and that was more than enough for me!
