Surprising (sweet) Wedding Congrats

I just got a good luck on your upcoming wedding card and letter from my ex-boyfriend's mother. He and I are still friendly and have been over the years (he's a good guy). We broke up about 10 years ago and I've kept in touch with his mom/family via Christmas cards and such.

She  remembered my Christmas card mentioned a spring wedding so she sent a lovely note wishing luck on the wedding. It was just the pick-me up I needed to attack a day of wedding tasks. 

Oh and I got 2 more RSVPs so now I'm just down to waiting for 5!!!

    How sweet! When I announced our engagement, my long-ago, but very-serious-at-the-time ex-boyfriend sent me a very kind facebook message saying how happy he was for me.

    I was also suprised by the very kind messages we got on a couple of 'no" RSVPs. A cousin of mine and a cousin of FI's both wrote the nicest messages to us, with apologies that they can't attend our wedding. In all the drama and complaints about weddings, some real kindness shows itself.
