Succop Conservancy

Does anyone know anything about the Succop Conservancy? I currently live out of state and this place has been extremely difficult to get information from. Any insight would be great!

Hi there - I am getting married at Succop next month. Every detail about Succop can't be found on the internet and I think that is what keeps it so special. Nancy Lawry, the event coordinator there, is absolutely amazing. She is organized and always quick to reply to emails. The mansion on the property is gorgeous and the grounds are beautiful. Before we were able to tour it, we were able to see a lot of pictures from photographers' blogs.

If you search through these boards, I have made other posts about the Conservancy but I will go over the major points. They exclusively use Medure's Catering to handle food and all rentals. Medure's takes care of ceremony set up, reception set up, cocktail hour, cake cutting, etc. Medure's food is very good and Pete, the owner, is a very nice man. They can do just about anything foodwise. You can bring in your own alcohol and Medure's provides the bartender and ice, etc.

You only pay Medure's for everything and it's a per person fee. I don't know what those fees are currently. They do book very quickly for Saturdays but also do Friday and Sunday weddings. When I went in August 2010, the first available Saturday was October 15, 2011! Luckily we wanted an October wedding anyway.
Awesome preview from our photographer, Caitlin Thomas, featuring flowers created by Paulette, The Urban Gypsy. Photobucket
