Rain, Rain, Go Away Don't come on my Wedding Day

Just found out there is supposed to be scattered thunderstorms all day on my wedding day and through the night :-( SUPER BUMMED... We had planned on using sparklers as we are going away. Now what should we do? I'm so upset! Is it supposed to rain on anybody else's wedding day?

The forecast can definitely change before your big day, don't freak out just yet. The storm cells could move slower or faster than the meteorologists "guess," so wait until a few days before to start making other plans!

I agree!  The further out the forecast goes, the less accurate it is (it has to do with the long, long equation they use to calculate everything).  I wouldn't panic just yet.  Even if you have to ditch the sparklers, I'm sure it won't be as big of a deal to you when you are whisking your hubby off to be alone on your wedding night.

I've decided that I don't care if it rains or not. I can understand that you're bummed though. However, scattered doesn't mean all day. And you're still a bit off as weather can change. Don't panic yet. I'd wait and see what happens. Look on the bright side, if it does rain, you'll still get some great pictures (my photographer says she prefers cloudy days)

I agree with PP. Just stay calm. There is NOTHING you can do about the weather. It will NOT ruin your beautiful day! I KNOW its easier said than done and Yes you do get better pictures on cloudy days btw.

if your weather has been anything like ours in Ohio, you're best to not worry until the day before. Yesterday it was suppose to be in the 40's here and snow at night.....it was 68 and sunny all day and we sat out on the patio drinking wine. Def. don't stress.

Our day just showed up on the 10-day, also..  I have a decent back-up plan (except that outside there is no need for any decorations, due to scenery, and the indoors option isn't so...  scenic).  Right now the forecast is scattered showers for us, also. 

Personally, I'm okay with that...  It's way better than having it be projected sunny and then when the day gets here it's overcast, right?  I either get a chance to plan for the non-sun or I can be happily surprised by sun.  I'd take that any day over being surprised by rain.

The biggest bummer would be if our pre-wedding bonfire gets rained out...  We would have to find somewhere else for the Taco Truck to park.

Mine says scattered thunder storms all day for today, the other day it said rain and before that sun, and it has changed to all 3 over the last couple weeks.

I am trying not to freak out until a few days before...

If it makes you feel better, I checked the 10 day before my bachelorette party and it said it was supposed to storm, and then checked again a couple days beforehand and it said it was supposed to be sunny... I know it is hard not to worry, but they do change.

I've checked the farmers almanac and it said it as supposed to be cool the weekend of my wedding... mistake to look because I've been paranoid for months... I think the wedding kinda takes some of the rational part of your brain out or something

I bought some big (actually quite nice) umbrellas for pictures if it rains, so I am not too worried about this, but it would be nice to have sun.....

   I live in a part of the world where even the forcast for the same day is often wrong, or different in different parts of the 'valley", so I decided a long time ago to not even check the weather since its going to change 5 times anyways.
