a little piece of advice

Hi ladies. I'm back from the HM and prolonging going to sleep because I don't want reality to set in!
I've loved reading the married posts and seeing all the picutres.

I have one little piece of advice to offer, which is probably something you'lve all thought about, but I neglected: Have a good plan for the clean-up!  I thought I did, but it went kind-of haywire, and my poor sister had to deal with it while I was off enjoying my honeymoon.   Somehow, all the vases were left behind, I got a cakestand that wasn't mine, and I left my purse and phone at the venue.  Luckily, the DOC drove my purse and phone to the hotel, but the vases were kind-of lost all week.  Eventually they were found and returned to the florist, but it was a headache for everyone involved.

I was once in a wedding of my friend who is the most organized person I know.  But, still the cameras on her tables were lost for weeks (I think they turned up in a cousin's trunk or something!).

Re: a little piece of advice

  • This is great advice! I was just wondering how the florist's candelabras will be returned, so I need to follow up on that.

Also - I once went to a wedding where several close friends were BMs and they were given a list of clean up duties for after the reception!! Shocking.
  • Congratulations, you look beautiful!

  • Great advice!  If anyone has a DOC, they should handle that side of things (at least ours did) but, there is a LOT going on during the entire day so, things that your DOC might not even know about could get missed.
So happy for you guys btw!  How was your HM???
