Pre-wedding routine

Have any of you ladies come up with some pre wedding routines...

For me...One month before the wedding i am having Laser hair removal for my sideburns, upper lip, lady area (TMI) and my underarms

Having my eyebrows threaded the day before

going tanning after laser for 3 weeks

getting a mani and pedi the night before

having an hour long foot message the day before

and a teeth cleaning 2 weeks before

I dont know if i am going way over the top or not. I also have been taking Natures Bounty Skin, Hair, and nails to clear my skin as well as an exfoliating skin scrub and my skin is looking the best it has EVER. I highly recommend Natures Bounty Daily.

I am going to be tanning starting this month. (for you ladies who don't like it this is only the 2nd time I've wver used tanning beds) Starting teeth whitening strips soon Eyebrow wax about 2 weeks before wedding Mani/pedi 2 days before with the girls Coloring my hair next week Vitamins to help my hair grow (been doing this for a few months now) I think that's all.
  • As a pale redhead who never tans, I am going to submit myself to the tanning beds :x
I will probably start around April and go once-twice a week until the wedding.

Eyebrow wax roughly 2 weeks before with a touch up a couple days before if needed.

Mani/pedi the day before with girls

starting this month workouts 4 days a week and uping my water drinking.

i also just bought clarisonic so i am starting that too
  • I wish I could afford laser hair removal!!!

I started tanning a week ago.  Right now, I'm laying 4 days a week... I'll bump it down to 3 once I get a base tan.  Terrible, I KNOW!

I have acrilic nails already, but I will definitely want them to be freshly done right before the wedding... so a couple BMs and I are going that Thursday afternoon.  They are getting mani/pedis and I'm getting fill-ins and a pedicure.

I will getting my last hair color and cut about a week before the wedding.

I get my eyebrows waxed every 2 weeks when I get my nails done.  I'll probably get them done about a week before the wedding as well.. then  pluck if I need to right before.

  • For a couple months I've been doing little things like making sure I exfoliate, moisturize, have been using a teeth whitening mouth wash and toothpaste, hair strengthening shampoo and conditioner, etc. I'll probably start using white strips soon. Nothing too crazy

I'll have my eyebrows waxed and get a facial two days before and a mani/pedi the day before.

i am so jealous you girls can go 2 weeks without waxing or threading your eyebrows. I have to go every week as mine are so dark...otherwise it looks like 2 catapillars trying to race toward the center of my forehead. LOL

I forgot ..i am also coloring my hair in the end of april. WIth this new Natures Bounty...my hair is growing so much and so fast, it would be a waste to do it any earlier. I do have some grey hair though.
I attribute that to all this wedding stress.

Oh trust me, that's not overboard lol. I'm getting a brazilian wax, arms, underarms, lip, chin, brows, and my happy trial all waxed 2 days before - hopefully it'll all stay nice and clean, at least for the most part, throughout the honeymoon!  I'm also doing zoom and getting the bonding on one of my front teeth redone so it matches my whiter than white teeth.  My dentist actually told me not to whiten because my teeth are already so white it won't do anything, but I won a free zoom treatment at a bridal show a while back so I'm using it!  Of course a gel mani and a pedi the day before.  I've already been doing regualr facials, so I'm just going to keep that up an get one two weeks before.  I've also been trying to be better about eatings and working out, plus I've kicked my bedtime skin routine up a notch with night cream, and after only a few days I'm already noticing a difference in the suppleness!  I'm sure there's more I'm forgetting lol.  Oh, def a hair trim, but I don't need to color my hair yet so at least that's once thing I don't need to put on my list!

Also, is anyone familiar with laser?  I was going to do it, but was advised but several people who have done it that at this point it's too late and to wait until after the wedding.  You need at least several sessions before the hair is gone, and you have to wait 6-8 weeks between sessions.  Anyone else have experience with laser?  I'm def going to do it, but after the wedding - maybe next winter after my wedding and summer tan fades Cool

  • I am starting tanning this weekend.  I don't like tanning beds, so it will be back yard cooking for me.

I'm getting my teeth cleaned two weeks before, and plan to use Crest Strips the week after that.

Lip wax (which I hate) this weekend, and then again a couple weeks before.

I'm getting my nails (and pedi) done 2 days before with my mom and sisters.

I'm getting my eye-brows done when I get my nails done.

Coloring my hair the end of April.

I go to the gym 4 days a week, but the last month I plan to go 5 days a week and really stick to my fruit/veggie/lean meat diet to get rid of any water weight I am carrying around.

i have been doing laser for years now...over time..you do get a lot less hair growth however...this is really important...if you get it done on your face...laser will stimulate the hair follicles and actually make more, finer hair grown. I did not have a problem under my chin and neck until one treatment i had where the girl went overboard and zapped my entire neck and chin which had not had hair growth before. i had gone just for sideburns and that was it.

Well now, i have to go every 4 months to get rid of the issue because i now get hair like wolverine on my face.  to everyone else its not noticable but to me it makes me freak out. it really is not that noticable though. even in pictures.
but i am still going a month before the wedding to make sure i am not hairy.

So be forwarned. Other areas, such as my woman area and underarms have had great results and i only go back for touch ups.  they say the courser the hair the easier and better the results are.
I do recommend those 2 areas but do not recommend the face.

I used to pay 260 a session , one session a month for 6 months. now i go once every 4-5 months and i pay 100 and get more surface area done.

you can ask me anything about laser. i think im going on 5 or 6 years now of treatments.

also i still do recommend laser because you do not get that 5 oclock shadow look. If you are thinking of doing your arm pits. start now..... if you go once now, once in april and once in May, you should have awesome results.

I used to hate having that dark look under my arm pits...even right after i shaved ...with laser you dont see that. its smooth and the color is just like the rest of your arm and underarm. that was my main concern...i wanted to be able to lift my arm at the wedding and not worry about dark shadows under my arms i could never get rid of. Sometimes being italian really sucks. it also really works on the woman area. :-)
  • My plan is to:

-get impressions done at the dentist and get the bleaching kit. Probably going to start the bleaching mid-April.

-get my eyebrows threaded about 3 days before the wedding.

-get my hair cut/colored the weekend before the wedding

-get a brazillian wax done about 4 days before the wedding

-get my nails done 2 nights before the wedding

-start tanning soon, maybe once a week from now until the wedding

  • Jeez you ladies have a lot in your pre-wedding routine!

    - I will be doing white strips about a month before

    - Cut and color about a week before

    - Maybe do an eyebrow wax a week before

    - Shave me legs and underarms the day before

    - Doing my nails and toes the night before

  • I need to get a trim sometime soon....and then will color it closer to the wedding

Have switched to a whitening toothpaste

Will go to electrolisis every 2 weeks starting the end of march ( I go once a month now)

thinking of waxing my legs/threading eyebrows

mani/pedi sometime in the last week

*For the ladies asking about laser...if you do not already do it, I would not recommend starting it now if its for the wedding. I did laser for 2 years and while it did get rid of some hair, it took about a year to make much difference to overall amount, and what did come back actually came back thicker, and after I stopped (because I couldnt afford it anymore) EVERYTHING came back.  If you are worried about a specific small area, I would say electrolosis is more permenent (painful as heck but it works, after 3 months I have virtually no regrowth in targed areas) for a lot of people and a heck of a lot less expensive, but I wouldnt recommend that for underarms. (23$ a session I pay)

  • *also they dont recommend laser on the face, can cause you to break out or get really dry skin, especially in the beginning.

  • So far I have been watching what I eat/drink. I stuck to a strict diet and exercise before, but stuff happened and it all got to me so I have cut back quite a bit. Like my family and fiance have told me many times. "You bought the dress that fits already. Why beat yourself up over it." :) Anyways, I'm planning on getting a cut (possibly color, thinking about adding some high/lowlights) a week before. Nails done the day before with the girls. I started a new acne/moisturizing/scar reducing regimen a few weeks ago and so far so good. So we will see. It is pointless for me to whiten my teeth (Have a filling in the front from a chip I got a few years back that is my tooth color now) and I haven't been one to tan, I burn. Thinking maybe about a spray tan, but at the same time doesn't seem worth it, since it isn't part of my normal life.
