So Excited!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VERY accomplished!

Today was a very productive day. With the wedding being in Pitt and us being in Morgantown, getting things done is a real pain sometimes.

This past Sunday my MOH and I went to a Bridal show near Pitt to get an idea of some vendors because at this point we have nothing past the date and the colors.

Well I found some amazing deals as well as some great vendors! We booked our photographer today, our friend Natalie, shes going to do the entire day for $500. We also settled on our budget, $12,000 and thats going to be pushing it so Im hoping we can get it done for less.

I also got two phone calls from some vendors with who I registered for gift baskets with. We were drawn for a $75 gift card to Massage Envy and then we also won a gift basket with an all inclusive 3 day/2 night stay to either Dominican Republic, Costa Rica, Payacar, Cozumel, or Neuo Vallarta. Has anyone been to any of these places? The only out of country places Ive been are Scotland and Ecuador so I have no idea which place to choose.

I feel accomplished for being on day 2 of actual planning.

The dress thing didnt go so well. I went to Alfred Angelo and Davids Bridal. I found ONE dress I loved, the Alfred Angelo "Belle" dress. Sadly the veil and dress together are 1485. My budget for both are $850

I guess were going to have round two on Wednesday when I go back up to Pitt.

Wow you got some awesome stuff done! Congrats!!! I've actually been to all those places on that list except for Costa Rica!! What resort is it? Thats amazing that you got drawn for two things soooo exciting!

Yay! You got a photographer!
My co-worker just got back from Cozumel last month and she said she had a great time. She brought pictures and it looked absolutely beautiful.
I'm sorry that one dress didn't work out. If you don't find anything else, maybe you can cut back on other areas of your wedding and DIY veil. I've heard some ladies on my local board DIY veil for no more than $10. I know veils are super expensive at stores. Just a thought. I hope you get a dress you love.

Very Nice! As for the countries, stay away from Mexico right now (Cozumel)--Costa Rica would be fun, I had a friend go there a while back and she loved it!

Congrats on finding your photog!

As with PP, I would make sure that vacay is for reals...no scamming allowed!

As for the dress, I have the same problem. I'm trying to keep my dress below $800, and I'm definitely making my own veil to save some $. I would look into some cheaper lines (i.e. DaVinci, Allure, etc.)...a lot of times they will copy popular dresses from other lines, and you may find a replica of the "Belle" dress within your budget! There was a dress I absolutely loved from Mikaella, but it was like $1800. I found tons of other dresses that looked VERY similar that were within my price range. I know for sure that DaVinci copies pretty much all the popular David's Bridal styles, and they are even cheaper! I know you'll find a dress that looks amazing and is within your budget.

That is awesome about getting all of that accomplished. And don't worry about the dress.. you will find one! As fas as the HM places, I have done research and out of those places, I would choose Dominican Republic!
