Another TY question- anyone planning on wedding photo TY card?

I was planning on using a professional photo from the wedding to make our wedding TY cards (I already have TY cards for my shower).    I hadn't considered that people might send gifts early- we have already received a couple wedding gifts (not shower gifts) for our May 27th wedding. 

Anyone else planning on doing wedding photo TY's?  If so, what are you doing about early gifts?  Sending a different TY card, or just waiting and sending after the wedding?

I don't think we will do a wedding photo card, but I would suggest getting something to send early. My wedding is may 5th and we have been getting packages almost daily. I can't imagine waiting until after the wedding to send all those TYs!

I wanted to do the wedding photo thank you cards, but decided against it because I don't want to have to wait to send out thank you notes!  I told FI we are writing thank you notes in the Airport on the way to our honeymoon, so when we come home we  are done!  If I was in your situation I would pick up thank you notes from the store or make a different thank you note with e-pics maybe.

I'm not because it will take far to long to receive them and I would like to write the TY as soon as the gifts arrive. I got mine on VP and they match our invites.

Hmmm...The cute pictures of bride/groom holding "thank you" signs that I keep seeing on Pinterest is actually starting to sound like a logistical nightmare for actually writing TY notes!  Might have to ditch this idea- thanks for all the comments/suggestions!

I'm doing these Thank you - cards with props  and planning to wait til after the wedding to send them out and after we get our wedding pictures. If we get gifts before hand, we dont plan to open them up or use them anyways, but rather thank them in person at the wedding and send them a photo TY card after the wedding.

I did "Thank You" signs at my e-pics and at the shower, so you can do some before hand if you want.

We are going to do a collage of pictures on our TY cards after the wedding (e-pics, us at the shower and wedding day).  We were given a stationary set that we will be writing our thank yous on and putting it in with our TY pictures.

We're doing photo TY cards - they're part of our photography package. We already have seperate TYs for the shower. As far as early wedding gifts we'll probably send them after the wedding once we have the TYs. It's not ideal but I don't want them to miss out on seeing wedding pics just because they sent a gift early!

I wasnt planning on doing photo thank you cards...but then I saw my friends (who got married in augest) and am starting to think I really want to. We already bought thank you cards that match the invites, so now the plan is to use those for anything we get from showers/early and do photo ones for people who come to the wedding.

I DIY'd "Thank you" signs before our e-pics and we took a few pics holding the signs.  I had planned to use those pics to make Thank You cards, but I'm not in love with them. 

If I don't use those, I'm just going to buy generic ones.
