* Addressing outter invitation envelopes

So I know there's always a debate over formally printing envelopes etc....we're doing an after wedding reception...a month after we get home..I was going to write out the addresses myself since I'm an artist and can do fonts pretty well...then thought about Kinkos and doing labels...thoughts (being it's not a formal wedding invitation..kind of like a party invitation)??

  • I say do labels if you want to. But then again, I'm one of those uncouth broads that is doing labels on my invites (the horror!!!):

  • I've received wedding invites that used labels and a cute font and it was fine. I was more excited for what was inside than how it was addressed.

  • I used clear labels with nice font. If people get upset oh well.

  • I think either or is fine. Do you want to take the extra time to hand write them? If so then go for it. I don't think people really look at that anymore. So really it's what ever you would like to do.
  • Being that we don't have a working printer....sad I know...should I a) get an inexpensive printer to use...or b) go to Kinkos?

  • I personally don't care either way whether it is handwritten or not.  I compromised and printed directly onto the envelopes, which worked fantastically!

  • I'm going to be printing mine onto the envelopes via printer. If you feel that you will use the printer after purchase then it will be worth investing in. However, if you don't print many things, take it to Kinko's. Be careful about really inexpensive printers, because they may not print as nicely as you'd might hope for.
