When we got engaged in June, we pretty much found the perfect venue right away. One of the biggest perks was that we would have access to it Friday until Sunday. We signed a contract, saying we were allowed in at 5pm on Friday and were due to be out by 11am on Sunday- When I asked how firm that was, the owner said he just didn't want people showing up at 5am on Friday and staying until super late on Sunday. No problem with us- We were planning on starting setting up around noon and were planning to be cleaned up by early afternoon Sunday.
I've just found out this past week that the venue has now been rented for Sunday afternoon.

1) We were under the impression that the venue would essentially be ours for the whole weekend, and that we wouldn't be super rushed setting up or breaking down.
2) Our rentals (mainly tent and chairs) are being set up on Friday afternoon, and are scheduled to be picked up Monday. This will essentially let this Sunday wedding have access to our $900 worth of rentals for free. Who in the world would ever think that we would be okay with this?? I asked the owner about this, and he said something along the lines of "well, I told the Sunday bride she would have to work around whatever the Saturday bride does." SO. PISSED.
FI is calling to get it straightened out, because this is beyond infuriating. I can't WAIT to call and talk to my mom about it- She's already moaning and bitching about how she has to clean up the reception (Seriously. She was thinking FI and I were going to come by the next morning and do it). I can't wait for the crap to hit the fan when I tell her it HAS to be finished by 11am the next morning.
After this weekend I was already stressed about being behind, hurt that my mom is calling me a bridezilla behind my back when she has done NOTHING to help me, and just generally feel kind of nauseous about the whole wedding thing. Add this on top, and I have felt like I'm on the brink of tears all morning.
I can't wait for all of this to be over. FI keeps saying "Just think about going on the HM" but this is starting to seem like an effing high price to pay to go to the beach for a week.
