So I mentioned somewhere on here about doing this, and was asked to post my results-
The edges are a little rough, but I'm going to go back over them with some supa' fine sandpaper to smooth them down.
If you want to try:
- I used Sculpy. I did a trial run with a really nice off white color. Turns out it was glow in the dark- BEWARE! Although it is awesome for us to keep

- I found it was easiest to roll the clay in between two sheets of wax paper, and then to lightly roll the creases out of the clay without the paper once I had gotten the size I wanted.
- My 3.5ish" diameter dishes took a tiny bit less than one block of Sculpy each.
- This afternoon the clay got too sticky to easily peel off the wax paper, so I stuck it in the fridge for about 10 minutes to let it set up again and then was able to easily peel it off.
- I baked my clay laying inside a glass bowl in the oven so it would keep that dishy shape. I read all over online that Anchor Hocking glass was oven safe, but holy geez, I was SURE the bowl was going to explode in the oven.
Overall, super easy peasy
