DIY Opinions?

Hey Ladies,

So we are having an outdoor wedding and we are lining our aisleway with shepherds hooks and we are hanging mason jars off of them. Our wedding inspiration is peacock colors (with some feathers) but also rustic southern charm. We are having natural wooden chairs, a simple arch made of bamboo draped with a single piece of white fabric... etc. Just so you have an idea. 

Ok, so I started working on my DIY mason jars to hang from the shepherds hooks. This is what I have. My MOH, best friend, and FI love them... but my mom thinks they look funny, so I want some more opinions. 

I tried tieing the ribbon higher to cover the twine where it is wrapped around the jar, but that just looked awful.. 

Do you think this is too busy? Or does it speak simple southern charm? 

Also, JIC you wondered, these jars will be filled with white hydrangeas and greenery. Also, every other jar's ribbon will be the David's bridal plum color. 

Thoughts? suggestions?!

I think it is very pretty and simple. Personally I would lose the bow but if you like it keep it! Maybe your mom is thrown off where she cannot see the whole picture with the flowers.

They will be very pretty when you put the flowers in them.  I agree with PP that maybe mom can not picture what they will look like with flowers.

They're cute. We're doing something similar sans the bow. But its your wedding and if you want the bow, I think they are cute.
