Tipping Question

Our wedidng is this Saturday. Standard 18% gratuity is built into our bill. The catering managers are setting up/breaking down a lot of our reception. We dropped off centerpeices and decorations today and let them know where we wanted everything to go. Do we tip the catering managers extra? I don't want to be rude, but I don't want it to be weird either if people don't usually tip. I've asked a lot of recently married friends and so far, no one has tipped extra, but what do you girls think?

I was just thinking about this today! Also included in our catering bill is an 18% gratuity so I don't plan on tipping them on top of that. However, our caterers aren't doing anything more than setting up the food, everything else we have taken care of. The bartender (we provide our own) we are paying $100 plus any tips he makes that night. The DJ and the photographer are the only ones I can't figure out how much to tip, $50 each or is that too little?! I absolutely love our photographer so I'll probably by her alittle gift after the wedding but I haven't been too pleased with the DJ so far and don't really want to tip her anything, which I know is super rude and I wouldn't do that but I don't want too.

  • Our venue charges us 19% service charge, so i dont plan to tip anyone there... so far, i only plan to tip our MUA (20% of bill), hair stylist (20%), photographer ($100) and DJ ($50-$60) since the DJ is only there for 4 hours for reception...
