Bad Timing

Of course since the wedding is Saturday, I woke up yesterday with a cold!  I haven't been sick all spring, what great timing  I'm trying anything and everything I can think of- Zicam, Sudafed, Allegra in case it's allergies, Neti Pot, extra fluids/juice with Vit C.. LOL.  Anyone have any other quick cures??

Gargle with salt water. Zicam is always my go to med!

Feel better soon!  Please make sure that you do NOT use straight tap water with your Neti pot.  Use sterile water, i.e. boil some first or open a new bottle of water (you can get nasty bacteria/amoeba up in your sinuses).  Echinacea is good for colds...you can get it in tablets w/ Vitamin C or in tea form.

Keep up with the Zicam, it always works for me! Feel better!

Sounds like your on top of it, but I would add have warm/hot lemon water every morning, it helps with vit c, as well as helping clearing gunk out of your system, and the warmth helps your throat feel better too Maybe try a walk in clinic, last time I went (I had a cough and cold that wouldnt go away and I couldnt even sleef because I was coughing so much so couldnt get better) they gave me all sorts of samples of products that might work better then the off the shelf stuff.

Thanks for the advice ladies, I'll give the ones I haven't tried yet a go tonight and see if it helps.  Fingers crossed everyone is healthy on Saturday!
