Before this weekend's wedding craziness starts...

my FI and I decided to go out on a little date night last night.  All we did was go out to dinner but it was exactly what we needed to spend some down time together and get re-charged before the rest of this week's hectic-ness begins. 
We have so many little to do's, errands and appointments between now and the big day on Saturday...this "date night" was great to have.
 
I remember a former Knottie suggested going out on a date the week of your wedding so I'm just passing it along.

I agree some alone time with your FI before the wedding is a good thing. I am also getting married on Saturday. This past Sunday I cooked dinner and my FI and I ate outside. It was so nice relaxing. Good to take a break from the wedding planning for a little bit.

We are going to do this. FI's birthday is the Tuesday before the wedding so we are spending that night just the 2 of us!

Our wedding is next week, but we fly out Thursday for the wedding.  we went out last night too and just wanted to recharge and remember why we're doing all this craziness!!  I agree, it was exactly what we needed.  It felt so good just to be out and not dealing with wedding stuff.  In fact we gave ourselves the "no wedding talk" policy at dinner and it was fantastic.  We forgot how to have a non wedding conversation until last night!

Yay! That's a great idea. I feel like we have been pretty good about not talking about wedding stuff when we're out together, but we don't do alone date nights very often. We will definitely be planning something that week! Probably the day of my hair and makeup trial so I will be all dolled up already

FI and I are going to see Aziz Ansari on Friday and to see the Avengers on Saturday...our last weekend as a (legally) single couple!

We won't be able to do this... but we are going out with all of our friends/WP (who will all be meeting for the first time) on Thursday!

We're hoping to do the same... depending on FI's work schedule.  Our 7 year dating anniversary is the Tuesday before the wedding, so we're hoping to do it that night.  Hearing how much it helped you out makes me realllly want to work it out now!

This sounds like a  great idea, unfortunatly I am going up to the town where the wedding is a week before the wedding and FI is coming up 2 days before the wedding, so the last week isnt really an option, but my Birthday is may 12, so we have plans for that day and my FI made me promise we wouldnt work on wedding stuff that day. (Wedding is on the 20)
