Bridesmaid Luncheon (PIP) + dress update and prayers needed!

I hosted a luncheon on Saturday for my bridesmaids, flower girl, her mother (who is a cousin), moms, grandmas, my great aunt, and the director (who is so much more than a director).  We had it at my great aunt's house.  We started out with drinks and talks in the sunroom. We played a little "game where I read a story that included how I met each of them and why they are important to me or a funny memory.  They passed a gift around each time I said one of their names... The one who had it last got a gift!  We then had a nice lunch.  After lunch I gave the Bridesmaids their gifts and we had dessert and just talked.  It was so much fun!

Love these women to the moon and back!

Dress update:  I wrote on Friday about my terrible experience having my dress altered.  My mom called and spoke to a manager who apoligized several times and told us that my dress would be ready for pick up this Thursday.  I was originally told that I couldn't pick it up until NEXT thursday (wedding it next Saturday).

Also, we're in need of some prayer!  My Granddaddy is still in pretty good health.  He has been through several cancer treatments over the years but still gets around like someone much younger.  He loves to be outside.. is helping with the construction of my Mom's new home, etc.  We had to take him to the er on Friday night for some issues.  He remains in the hospital.  He is doing alright but is pretty sedated and will be there for at least a couple more days (or until they can figure out exactly what they need to do to fix him up.)  We all want him to be healthy and need him around for a while longer.  Plus we want him to feel great on the wedding day.  He is such an important part of my life.  T&P are much appreciated!

you definately have my T&P for your Grandfather. My Grandmother is 92 and she doesn't get out much anymore, she had been telling us the last couple of weeks that she was going to try to come to the wedding but she told my Mom yesterday she didn't think she could do it. We'll just have to wait and see. I completely understand where you're coming from. I hope they get him fixed up ASAP!
