Candy Bar/Buffet Inspiration!!!

I'm looking for idea of how I want my candy bar to be set up. I will be using a 6' banquet table and I'm considering buying an overlay of some kind. I have a bunch of jars already I just can't figure out how I want it all to be put together!

Also is anyone putting ribbon/tags on the jars of candy so that people know what everything is? Is this necessary?

Re: Show me your....

  • I'm thinking something like this! Staggered jars give such an affect then just puting jars on a table! And it's super simple! We are using ol shoe boxes that are strong enough!

What I'm doing for tags is we are having a beach theme, and have old shells laying around everywhere. I'm just going to tap a piece of construction paper to the shell with the type of cand on the piece of paper, and hang the shell around the jard with ribbon! I think if you are using candy that people obvioulsly know what it is (like M&M's and reese's) then you don't really need tags!
P.s. I don't know if you already have your candy or not, but one of my vendors told me about a website that has bulk candy for cheap and free shipping!!! Just thought I would share!

We haven't decided if we are doing one or not. But if we do it will be similar to PP. I like the different heights and placement of the jars. Also we are doing a tag for a few items but we will have M&M's so those don't need a tag. We are going to string the tag on ribbon and place around the jar.
  • I have 8 dishes total, and 2 different kinds, with dishes of the letters of our last names.  I bought these little silver ornate frames from Michaels and plan on putting the candy names in them.  We are going to put boxes on the table to tier the dishes around the letters, with the tallest ones being in the back and the shortest ones being towards the front.  We are going to drape a tablecloth over the boxes & the table, and then put colored napkins on top of the raised parts with the boxes, and set the glass dishes on top of those.

Here's a picture of 6 of the dishes (we have 2 more of the shorter shallow ones) of everything just laid out on th floor.

Thats a great idea! we're having a semi-beachy theme too so I might have to steal that idea!

I've been looking on the candy warehouse website as well as some stores like BJ's, Costco for candy. I'm probably going to have to order some online but I'd like to get what I can at the warehouse type stores so that I dont have to pay so much for shipping!

  • oh great! Glad you like the idea! Also, behind the table, we are hanging an old fish net and put a 'thank you' banner on the fish net with some pictures/shells/love is sweet, enjoy some of our favorite treats' something like that on it! lol.
  • I am actually doing a popcorn bar. Same type of idea, but with different flavors of popcorn. The candy bar idea has been done many times now in my area. So, we are going to try to mix it up!
  • Here is my CB inspiration, but with pink candy!

I'm planning to have grey ribbon around each of the jars/vases and a small card attached to the middle of the ribbon as a label for everything.
