OMGGGGGGGGGGGGG

The dress shop called me tonight. Remember the 2 girls who dropped out of my wedding in boston? Well...they refuse to pay the balances on their dresses so the dress shop will not give me my wedding dress.

Because i put the dresses on my credit card because they were out of state, the one girl fought them and now i owe 350 bucks....which i dont have or i have no wedding dress . Wedding is in 2 weeks. OMFG!! My dress is paid for in full already
i emailed 7 on my side.... the girls in boston are about to get a beat down.

That's not right! If yours is paid in full then you should be able to pick that one up! As for money, you can always try one of those evil cash advance places. :(

  • That sucks.  Try and sell them ASAP to get at least some of your money back?

If they don't give you your dress, call the cops. If you've got the reciept showing paid in full, they legally can not keep your dress. They can go after the 2 girls for not paying for the dress and sent their balances to collections, but they CAN NOT keep your dress. I would also call your local news. That seems to get companies to cooperate, and this is def a story the news station would be interested in.
  • Look up NYC state contract law: if you signed the contract paper for their dresses then your stuck.  If you did not, then the shop does not have a contract with you and is required to release your dress which you have a paid contract for.  However with that said, if no paper other than your credit card receipt was signed you MAY be liable.  Check the contract paper and the sales agreement that may have been posted/given to you as you may have agreed to them charging your card for the final balance.  Such notice is required to be clearly posted, you told at purchase w/ acknowledgement, or given to you - pretty sure, but there are some specific state clauses I may be unaware of.

    Know your rights.  Good luck.
  • That is crazy! Is that even legal?

  • I'm pretty sure they can't keep a separate dress from you that is already paid for in full. I would understand them refusing to give you the bridesmaid dress if it's not paid in full, but keeping another dress entirely?

  • Tell her if she doesn't hand over the dress, you'll sic a bunch of angry knotties on her. We'll drive up to her shop and being "occupy dress shop" until she hands it over.

I will bring the booze. Someone else please provide cupcakes.
