Invitations

Hi girls!

I hope you all are preparing for the mini snow storm we are supposed to get in the area tonight!

So far I have so many checks off the list! We are waiting to get one more floral estimate before we make our florist decision officially. But now we are on to invitations. Where did/are you getting your invitations from? We bought our save the dates from magnetstreet.com and I have been really impressed with them for that. They even sent me some invitation samples with my save the dates. Has anyone worked with them for invitations?

Also, what is the average price for invitations? I've never ordered anything like this before so I'm sort of in the dark!

Thanks for all your help!

We are actually using Party City in Robinson for our invitations. I know it sounds like the cheap way out, but it was a reccomandation from a friend of mine to check them out. They actually have about 10 books from invitation companies to look through. They range in price, but you get a 30% discount on the final total if you buy them through Party City. Trust me go take a look. These are not the premade kits in a box that you print off at home.
  • We are using Tabitha with hello beautiful. PM me if you would like to see our invite she designed with me!

  • I'm lucky that my FI is a graphic designer and although he won't be designing our invites, one of his close, supertalented friends will be.  If you want a more personalized touch, try calling the AIGA in Pittsburgh for some specific recs!

  • We actually found really nice diy invitations from Target.  I know it sounds cheap but my fiance's aunt got invited to a wedding with the invitation we are using and I loved it.  I actually contacted them and asked where they have gotten their invites printed and was SHOCKED when I found out they printed them themselves and they were from target.  My best friend's boyfriend is a graphic designer so he is going to design ours but either way I think they are really nice.  Check it out!

  • We're customizing ours through Minuteman Press.  I had NO idea they did invites until my mom used them for a work function.  They have graphic designers and can design them to your liking (which we have done) and they are very affordable!
