bride and groom entrance and first dance

I am having trouble visualizing our entrance into the reception and then the transition to our first dance. I can't remember how it's happened at my friend's weddings (which must mean it's not important enough for me to be stressing lol). 

I want FI and I to enter to the reception with the same "fun" song as the rest of the wedding party but then I don't know what happens next. Do we just stay out on the dance floor while the DJ stops the fun music and announces our first dance? Seems like an awkward tranisition to me. What do we do while we are waiting for our song to start?

I'm definitely over thinking this but I just can't picture it at all. Help! lol

Most of the weddings I've been to, they DJ fades out the enterance song as soon as the couple gets to the dance floor, and starts the first dance song right after that - no need to finish the entire enterance song.

I have actually never been to a wedding where the first dance was before dinner. Around here the first dance starts the dancing for the night.

We're having the WP enter to 'Shake Your Groove Thing' then FI and I are entering to 'Bring Em Out' Everyone is going to enter and go to the head table where they will wait to be seated until FI and I get there. DJ will fade the music out then dinner will start. We won't be doing our first dance until after dinner.

We are actually going to bring the entire wedding party onto the dance floor for the finish of our entrance song, then the bridal party will move to the edge of the floor while we have our first dance.  Then we will take our seats for dinner to begin.

We are doing an everybody first dance. Basically we'll make our entrance and our entrance song will continue in full. The DJ is going to invite everyone onto the dance floor as soon as we make our enterance to get the party started. After that, we'll have our first dance.
