BM venting!

Ok..i know i shouldnt let this bother me..cuz i knew ahead of time that FSIL is a B*tch...and she only cares about herself.. BUT...im a bride..im sensitive...

anyways... FSIL couldnt come to the B-party cuz she couldnt call off (w/e i knew it was a lie..but w/e).. she said she couldnt call off weekends ever or she gets fired cuz its a requirement of the job to work at least 2 weekends a month (they only work every other weekend)...

well this weekend she is out of town..and in 2 weeks when she works again.. ITS MY WEDDING....sooo both weekends in may she gets off with no problem..but she cant call off ONE night for my b-party...

its just annoying cuz she flat out lied to me..she couldve said "hey..i dont like you.. i dont want to come to your party"... dont lie about it!!

i soo badly want to confront her..but i know with her it wont matter...she will just make more excuses and go on living her life lying and only caring about herself..

it just hurts that she CLEARLY didnt want to spend time with me...soo why accept being a BM if you truely dont want to be around me and help with the wedding planning..

How do you know she didn't just switch weekends or get this weekend and the weekend of your wedding approved for vacation beforehand? Maybe she only has so much vacation time and couldn't take off for you bparty. I think it's somewhat selfish of you to ask her to call off of work for your bparty and then be upset when she won't do it.

I would let this go..your marrying her brother....im she accepted the role as bm because she wants to stand up there for her brother..shes apparently is not your friend or that close to you..so why would you want to party with her? I would been relieved that she couldnt make it for whatever reason..and the big thing is shes off for your wedding..thats her only obligation..
