Congrats May Brides! As your wedding day nears I thought I would offer some advice from someone who was once in your shoes planning her own wedding. Here are my top 3 advices from a May 14, 2011 Bride:
1) DO NOT CHECK THE WEATHER-under no circumstances should you ever start checking the weather a week before your expected date because then you will become obsessed with checking it. Our ceremony was suppose to be outside and throughout the week it would go from showers to sunny. On our wedding day it said showers and sure enough it rained. I was checking the weather throughout getting ready and missed many moments that I wish I could get back with my girls because my phone was connected to my hand the whole time. You can not control the weather so don't try to!
2) THREE THINGS GUEST WILL REMEMBER: Food, Music and Alcohol for months to come. These were the three things all my married friends told me to focus on and focus less on the centerpieces, making sure every flower was in place in each bouquet and so on. If you have good music, great tasting food and alcohol for those who drink (it is a wedding) your guests will be happy. Many things went out of place due to the weather at my wedding that weren't how I expected it to be but none of my guests remember it. If you are having a good time your guests will too I promise.
3) CREATE A PHOTOGRAPHY LIST: As the day draws near and when the day comes you will be so busy getting ready, making sure everything is right that if you don't have a photography list of pictures, poses and people promise me you will forget some and look back wishing you had them. I didn't create one and eventhough I got 5000 pictures we forgot to get pictures of our rings together, my bouquet and my dress w/out me in it. Do not put to much thought into this but a simple list should take less than hour and will help you out a lot.
Goodluck and most of all ENJOY the day it will go quick but take in every moment of it
Its a girl!!
