What to include in email to bridal party about wedding weekend details?

Hi all - 

I'm tyring to figure out all those last details and getting the right info to my bridal party and family is next on my list. Have you guys done this yet? What did you include or plan to include? I haven't been the most organized person so I don't want to forget things.

    BRIDESMAID ITINERARY

    FRIDAY, MAY 11th

    ·         Wedding rehearsal starts at 4pm

    o    Place: St. John’s Noble Victory Memorial Chapel: XXXX XXXXXXX St., XXXXXX, WI

    o    About 6 minutes from the La Quinta Inn

    o    Dates are welcome to come watch the rehearsal if they wish but the hotel is only a few minutes away if they prefer to be picked up after before the dinner

    ·         Rehearsal dinner starts at 6pm

    o    Place: Zin – Uncommon California Italian – XXX XXXX Street, XXXXXXXXX, WI

    o    About 1 minute from the ceremony site and 5 minutes from the La Quinta Inn

    o    In case you were wondering about what to wear, Eric, myself, and our families will be a little bit more dressed up (but not super formal).  But of course you can wear what you want J

    SATURDAY, MAY 12TH – THE BIG DAY!

    ·         8am – hair appointments start.  We’ll have multiple stylists so most girls will be able to have their hair started right away, but a few will have to wait and be second.

    o    Place: Creative Flair Salon - XXXX XXXXXXX Street, XXXXXXXX, WI 53018

    o    About 6 minutes from the La Quinta Inn

    o    We’ll be bringing mimosas and some breakfast snacky stuff J

    o    The stylists ask that you come with your hair clean & dry as they won’t be washing it before they style it

    ·         10am – we’ll be heading back my house to have our makeup done and to get dressed

    o    Our house: XXXX XXXXXX XXXX XXX, XXXXXXXXXXXX, WI

    o    Reminder that you guys are wearing black shoes & silver jewelry – my mom made all you guys earrings and bracelets but feel free to wear a necklace if you wish

    o    I’ll have some snacks & pizzas to eat

    ·         12:20pm – the limo will be picking us up from my house and bringing us to the chapel

    ·         We’ll be starting the photos with just shots of Eric and I – my photographer asked that no one “watch” us during the time when we first see each other.  Just FYI

    ·         We will be taking some group photos before the ceremony (after some of just Eric and I) and some after.  We’ll have to go inside the chapel and/or courtyard by 2:30pm since guests will start to arrive.

    ·         Alcohol is not permitted on the chapel grounds, and our officiant will not marry us if it’s obvious that there’s been drinking going on – so save it for later, trust me there will be plenty of alcohol at the reception J

    ·         We rented a limo big enough for all the members of the wedding party and their dates, which we will be taking from the chapel to the reception site. 

    ·         We are doing a receiving line with only Eric and myself right after the ceremony – depending on how the day goes our photographer might take some more photos of the wedding party during that time, but otherwise you guys can just hang out & relax until we leave in the limo.

    ·         When we get to the reception site, we’ll be heading down to a take some more photos by the pond they have.  We’ll try and make this part quick, and then we’ll catch the rest of the cocktail hour.  Dates are more than welcome to hang out where we are, unless they’d rather go to the beginning of the cocktail hour.

    ·         Cocktail time is from 5pm-6:30pm.  We’ll be regrouping as the guests start to take their seats around 6:20pm or so, and then we’ll all be introduced.

    ·         The reception goes until midnight.  We’ll have a shuttle going between the reception & the hotel all night, so that’s what we’ll be taking back.

  • I sent a timeline with location addresses that also outlined their attire from head to toe.
  • I sent one out a few days ago just letting them know where they need to be and what time things are...
