So, we are going to get our marriage license tomorrow morning (we'd planned to go last week, but we had trouble coordinating to both be off work at the same time). I'm not sure how much ID we made, so I decided to get our passports out to take with us in case we need two forms. So, I open his passport, and notice that it EXPIRED earlier this year!!!! Um, we leave for our honeymoon in less than three weeks! This is completely out of character for FI.
We did some research, and it looks like he'll be able to get it back in time. I am 95% sure he'll get it. If not, we'll have to scrap our Aurba plans and head somewhere in the US (I'm thinking Napa). I just hope we wouldn't be out too much money.
I am actually less stressed about this than you'd think. I am not sure why, but I just think that everything will be okay. And, if it isn't, we'll still be married and we will still be enjoying a nice vacation together. We can always go to Aruba for our anniversary.
But, still please send some knottie vibes that he gets it back in time!! Aruba is still our #1 choice!!
