Has anyone gone through this yet?

I got that too, but I've been told that's a waste. Apparently changing your name is time-consuming, but it isn't much work- plus, you have to physically appear at the DMV, etc. That site promises saved time, but you still have to physically go into those offices. I don't know, that's just what I've heard.

I went to social security and changed it. I will go to the BMV this weekend and change my bills/accounts as they come up. Seemed to easy to waste the money.
