DIY glasses - second thoughts

So, down to the wire, in the middle of moving, and all my childish fears are coming out now. I DIYed our toasting flutes because I was dying for some vera wang or kate spade bow ones and couldn't afford them. So, I went to world market, found the glass shape I wanted, and then used shiny silver spray paint on the stems and added my own bow. I was pretty proud of them up until right now.

I am afraid they will look cheap and bad in pictures next to the actual silver plated cake serving set we got and that I will be embarrassed of how they look later.

All of you had a positive response when I posted the pics awhile ago but for some reason I'm overwhelmingly concerned about this right now.

Anyone else feeling ridiculous about their DIY projects?

I think they look pretty damn good. I couldnt tell the difference. I spent 150 bucks on mine...and to be honest...its one of my WTF purchases. I do not know why i spent that much of toasting flutes im going to use one time throughout the night. chances are no one will actually even be that close to you that they will be checking them out intensively.

We actually got bride and groom goblets from my sister in laws as a shower gift that we are going to using for drinks while we dance and do whatever...not trying to risk breaking the flutes especially knowing that my one SIL gets hammer drunk and usually winds up knocking anything out of my hands i happen to be carrying.

I think you're over thinking this waaayyyy too much. No one will notice, and I think you did an awesome job! Not one person will say "hey, these glasses don't match the cake plate!" Seriously. My MOH and the best man didn't match. I didn't realize this until I looked at pictures. But who cares!? I honestly think you'll be just fine, and in pictures, you won't even see the difference. This detail isn't worth stressing over. Really. Now, relax

lol i forgot i needed them and ended up getting ones from Michael's today...because I didn't have the time or energy to care too much about it anymore! I think yours look amazing and you should be proud of them ... YOU made them with your love and hard work! Be proud - they look great!
